With Christmas FAST approaching, if you’re anything like me then you need to kick your holiday shopping into high gear. AM I RIGHT?!

Luckily, I have a pretty good idea of some of the things I could get for my female travel-loving friends. And since I’m such a nice person, I’m handing over 10 good ones right here on a silver platter for you.

Aren’t you happy I’m so nice?

Now, without further adieu, I give you some great gifts for the female traveler.

1. Lush Travel Friendly Products

You know the store… the one that smells like a bubble bath from a hundred feet away.

And what girl can resist something that smells so good?

Combine that with some travel friendly packaging (like solid shampoos, solid perfumes, and body balm), and you have a perfect travel gift.

2. Stuffable Daypacks and Bags

A good female traveler loves packing organization and flexibility.

For the flexibility aspect, stuffable bags and daypacks take the cake. Here’s why:

Use the daypacks and bags for days at the beach, light hikes, or as a carry-on.

3. Kindle

Because reading will always be a great way to pass the time: in transit or in a hostel.

The Kindle lets her pack her favorite travel books into one compact machine, taking up less space than an actual book!

    4. Helene Clarkson Nadi 7-In-1 Travel Wrap

From a skirt, to a top, to a scarf, to a poncho, and more! The Helene Clarkson Nadi 7-In-1 Travel Wrap is the perfect gift for your friend who loves to pack light! Plus, the material is great for travel because it resists wrinkles and dries fast.

It is a simple garment but can look quite dressy and it takes up very little space to pack. Yes, please!

    5. Phone Case

Your friend will be sure to bring her phone with her on her travels, so why not make it a bit more special by gifting her a travel-themed phone case? You can get all sorts of fun options over on Etsy.

If she’s more of a practical traveler, you can get her a phone case that comes with card slots like the TORU CX Pro Case Wallet.

    6. Journal

Because nothing speaks louder than words. Or, the pen is mightier than the sword?

Your travel girl will want to have a private place for her thoughts, somewhere to write down her memories, or a spot for planning her journey, and the journal is where it’s at.

    7. Secure Purse or Daypack

Give your travel-loving friend the gift of peace of mind. A secure purse or daypack (like a Travelon or Pacsafe bag) will do wonders in keeping pickpockets at bay.

For Brooke’s last trip, she used a Pacsafe CX Anti-Theft Convertible Backpack and the Baggallini Bryant Pouch – both would be good gift options.

    8. Good Book

If your friend is more of a traditional type, then perhaps a good paperback book is the gift for her.

We have reviewed a number of inspiring female books right here on Her Packing List to choose from.

    9. Scarf or Sarong

Scarves and sarongs are two of the most versatile things a girl can pack. Not only can they be worn as accent pieces or to stay warm, but they can also double as towels, blankets, and privacy screens in a pinch.

As an alternative, check out Turkish travel towels for your friend.

    10. Grid-It Organizer

When Kristin Luna wrote up a post about the Grid-It travel organizer, I was instantly sold. Check out that organization!

The Grid-It allows you to keep all your electronics, cables, and little bits in one place – then you just pop that in to your backpack!

I run the show at Her Packing List and love packing ultralight. In fact, I once traveled for 3 entire weeks with just the contents of a well-packed 12L handbag. When I'm not obsessing over luggage weight, I'm planning adventures or just snuggling with my pet rabbit, Sherlock Bunz.
