Lolë Refresh Pants: The Best Travel Pants?

Lolë Refresh Pants for Travel

The ideal travel pants need to be nice enough that they can be dressed up to get upgraded to first class, but comfy enough to sleep in them on a long haul flight.

So when I found a pair of Lolë Refresh pants at a discount outdoors store, I was excited to give them a go. I was especially excited when I paid $35 instead of $90 for them. Gotta love paying less for quality travel gear!

I knew Lolë made great fitness and travel clothing for women, so I was thrilled when I saw a pair of their pants on a clearance rack. They were an extra small, which wasn’t my size, but when I tried them on they fit nicely, tighter in the waist but loose in the legs. The pictures I’d seen online show them hanging more loosely, so if you prefer your pants to hang differently, I suggest you pick a size up.

The Perks

The Refresh pants are made from recycled plastic bottles, which is a nice feature for those who are environmentally conscious. They come in grey and black and have a reflective logo for night runs.

The wicking material feels like those of yoga pants, so they dry quickly and are SPF 50+. I love the two front pockets and extra small zippered pocket for your keys. And the drawstrings at the waist and ankles keep them up and allow you to adjust your look (pictured above) or keep bugs out.

Lolë’s Refresh pants are marketed for running and urban fitness, but I highly recommend them for travel. I set them aside as part of my plane outfit with a basic black ExOfficio shirt and my Encircled Chrysalis Cardi as a scarf with Tieks for my long day of travel to Malaysia.

The Drawbacks

The only downside is that they can be slightly sheer, so these are not the pants to go commando in!

These are Perfect for…

You’ll love these pants for volunteer travel, jungle trekking, overland trips and any sort of trip where you wash your clothes and need them to dry quickly. Just be sure to pack hand washing essentials like a sink plug and a clothesline!
