Meet Victoria and Her Samsonite Spinner Suitcase

Samsonite Spinner review

This post is part of a series in which ladies on the road offer a review of their suitcases. Today’s Samsonite Spinner suitcase review comes from Victoria.

Hey, I’m Vic. I’m going to be reviewing our 55cm Samsonite Spinner… the smallest and most awesome member of our luggage family!

Tell us about your suitcase brand, style and price.

This is the smallest of our collection of Samsonite luggage, it’s a DURANXT Lite 55cm Samsonite Spinner. The latest model of this bag is priced at $269. (For those of you wondering, 55cm is about 21.65″.)

Weight: 2.3 KG
Volume: 34 /37 L

Is it too big, too small or just right?

Just right! There was much deliberation when choosing this bag so we’re thankful we got it right.

Is it fabric or hard shell?

Spinner or roller?

What made you choose your brand and style of suitcase?

At the time we purchased these suitcases we were travelling a lot with work. After much research this bag came out on top and is also the perfect size for carry on luggage with most airlines. After years of travelling with all different types of luggage it was time to get serious and Samsonite came up with the goods!

What features of this luggage do you love? Are there any you would like to see changed or improved?

I love the spinning wheels and the amount of pockets this bag has. The expandability feature is also really cool meaning you can open it when it’s standing without everything falling out or lay it flat and open it completely.

Features as listed on Samsonite’s website:

  • 360° multidirectional spinner wheels for easy maneuverability
  • Expandable for increased the packing space
  • Functional elastic cross ribbons to secure packed items
  • Divider pad for easy and organised packing
  • Fixed 3 point TSA combination lock

Can you carry this suitcase onto airplanes?

Yes. (You might be interested in the HPL carry on packing list.)

What sort of traveler and trip is this suitcase perfect for?

This bag is so versatile and we use it heaps. We’d recommend it to any traveller who uses carry on regularly as their only luggage as this bag is great for short trips. It’s also great for an additional carry on for long haul too and weekends away.

Would you recommend this suitcase to other traveling females?

Yes definitely!
