We’ve done a bit of searching and were able to come up with these 6 apps for the traveling woman that can help enhance a trip- by making it more safe, more pleasant, and more fun! The app uses GPS to track where you’re going while a companion you have chosen from your contacts list virtually keeps you company to make sure you’ve reached your destination safely. The Companion app can detect changes in your movement that could indicate a problem, send alerts to your companion, turn into an alarm system, and contact the police. (Note: There may be some limitations or data fees when using this app in a foreign country, so check ahead of time.)

It translates 90 different languages, and it can use your phone’s camera to translate text into 26 different languages. You can star and save translations for future use, so if there are key phrases you need often, they will always be handy.

    Awesome list! I love Maps.Me and Google Translate. I use them a lot. Don’t have that size converter though. That’s a good one 🙂 Been looking up a lot of different female travel apps lately and you have some I haven’t come across yet.
