Welcome to the inaugural episode of The HPL Podcast!
It’s been a long time coming, but I’m thrilled to get this show rolling.
In this episode, we talk about the prospect of traveling in an ultra-minimalist mindset with Theresa Christine, the blogger behind Tremendous Times.
At Her Packing List, we talk a lot about packing light, packing your lightest bag, and taking only what you need when you travel. But could you travel with no luggage whatsoever? Could you go away with nothing but your purse?
Theresa Christine did just that on her weekend in Vegas, after being inspired by this article on Salon, and we discuss the experience in detail in this podcast.
Oh a weekend, that’s not very long at all. But then I think about times when I’m packing up to go to my boyfriend’s for a night, for like 12 hours, and I have some big bag of stuff.
Theresa’s Purse and Packing List
As promised, here’s a look into what she brought on this elusive trip to Vegas!
* Fossil purse
* Wallet, keys
* Phone charge and iPhone
* Travel journal and pen
* Instax instant camera
* Vapur water bottle
* Travel-sized toothbrush and toothpaste
* Face wipes (I removed how many I would need and put them in a plastic baggie)
* Makeup (pressed powder, eyeliner, mascara, blush, lipstick)
* Lip balm
* Nail file
* Contacts, saline, and glasses
* Oil blotting sheets
The most important part of the equation for Theresa was the outfit she chose, pictured below without the purse, jacket, and scarf.
* A Betsey Johnson dress
* A pair of cat earrings (for fun)
