This post is a part of a series about females traveling with suitcases. Today’s interview comes from Helen Anne Travis, who loves her no-name bargain suitcase purchased from Target.
Tell us about your suitcase brand, style and price.
Mine is a cheapo, no-brand carry-on I bought from Target for less than $30.
Is it too big, too small or just right?
I always end up overpacking. I guess that makes it too big.
Is it fabric or hard shell?
Spinner or roller?
What made you choose your brand and style of suitcase?
I was traveling between Milan and Barcelona with EasyJet. The airline has very strict luggage size restrictions and my old carry-on was literally an inch too big to bring on board. I didn’t want to pay to check my bags so I spent the next afternoon in Target’s luggage department with a measuring tape. This bag was the only one that met EasyJet’s requirements. That was three years ago. This is now my go-to bag.
What features of this luggage do you love? Are there any you would like to see changed or improved?
I love how small this suitcase is. I’ve never had a problem shoving it in overhead bins or the trunks of tiny cars. It’s even small enough to hold on my lap if necessary. Yet I can fit a week’s worth of clothing in it without a problem. I do wish it was a little sturdier. It falls over a lot.
Can you carry this suitcase onto airplanes?
What sort of traveler and trip is this suitcase perfect for?
Anyone who embraces the “pack half the clothes and twice the money” mantra.
Would you recommend this suitcase to other traveling females?
I’d recommend it to any traveler.
